Loon – A Wake Up Call – From Rap Sensation To Islam – Formerly of Bad Boy Records – Amir Muhadith
Brother Amir Junaid Muhadith (Loon) is rapper formerly part of P. Diddy’s Bad Boy Records, where he released his self-titled debut album, Loon. He has also made many guest appearances on songs of the R&B and hip hop genres. In 2004, Loon left Bad Boy to start his own label, Boss Up Entertainment. Loon started his music career as a member of Mase’s rap collective Harlem World (group). Along with his music Loon has also been featured in two movies directed by Damon Dash, State Property 2 and Death of a Dynasty. In Dec. 2008 Brother Amir accepted Islam whilst on tour in Dubai, UAE. He changed his name to Amir Junaid Muhadith. He recently traveled to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the holiest and most sacred site of the Islamic religion, to perform Umrah. please say “born and raised/reared” muslim or “born into muslim families” I get the point but I hear so many people from cultures that also possess Islam say this and it almost nullifies the term *revert* but the quran validates it saying we are all born muslim upon the fitrah but it is the parents who turn their child into a jew, christian, or zorastrian, like i said, i get the point, im just asking for a better framing of the subject matter, from all of us in sha Allah

Sure im from UK where muslims are really most of them practicing Islam, but when i come here in Saudi was sort of shock how islam is not really practice most women i met are acting as if the hijab is being forced on them subhan Allah. when you are bless with being a muslim what sort of freedom are they looking for. May Allah guide us all. But Islam is prectice more in the west. Muslim countries are turning away from Islam but Allah is bring the light of Islam from somewhere else.

Lord Lord Lord, why is this brother being silenced??? I am moved and I am only 10minutes into this video….I am moved….and this is from a Catholic-Christian. Although I have never ever in my life had a problem with any other religious discipline…taught this by my Christian parents…we listened a lot to leaders of Islam as a child. U know brothers, we the ones born in a muslim family will never understand some of the things that a brother like this feels he experienced the same feelings that the companions of the prophet peace be upon him, because they were living in darkness and then they found Islam that brought them to light.
